Last day of June. First blog ever. T minus 7 days 'til my New England migratory lift-off from the Rocky Mountains. Painting wherever I please. Teaching new students. Glorious family memories and chaos and hugs. Dive into this wave...jump into that blue lake. Wait quietly for an island sunrise, the lifting fog and a lobster boat chugging out of the inlet. Sails aloft. Wings spread. Relish it all.

My soul and art belong in two places...New England and Colorado. I was heartbroken for so long thinking I had to choose and could only have one home. But my wise naturalist friend Laura was unflapped. "You're a migratory species, Trish." So the lyrics "should I stay or should I go," are no longer my theme song. Ta Da! I'll do both.
I hope you'll want to be migratory with me. Or at least be a voyeur. Come paint. Meet me on the wharf or comment on my musings and your own memories. Join me however you can along this wayward road.
